Welcome to the perfectly fine 2 hours of kyalami, the first event in ACRL's 2022 Assetto Corsa Competizione Endurance season. This is a GT3 only event, with a maximum team size of two drivers. The weather is likely to be just about perfect, lower temps, a few scattered clouds, no rain forecast.
Even though this is a driver swap event, as the length is not too long, we'll be allowing solo-drivers to enter as well.

Pre-Quali (PQ) is needed if the number of entries for an event may exceed the number a single server can accommodate, and/or if we have set specific PQ requirements for an event. In these cases, a period of PQ will be run prior to the race, usually for at least a week, and if necessary the race will be divided into equal size splits, based on PQ times. See the Driver Briefing tab for details of the PQ servers. In championship events, there is usually a points bonus for being in a higher (faster) split.

The requirement for this event is a consecutive hot stint of 3 valid laps. The time required is 01:43.232 -- OR -- The alternate requirement for this event is a consecutive hot stint of 5 valid laps. The time required is 01:45.236 These times may change, so you should check back frequently to ensure that you do not need to improve your time. For drivers who have not met the hot stint requirements, the number in parentheses after the lap time is the longest valid hot stint for that driver, in which each lap met the required time. For drivers who have met the requirement, it is how "safe" they are - that is, the gap between the slowest lap in their best stint, and the current cutoff time. |

This event is single-class for, for GT3 only.
PRE-QUALI - this event has PQ requirements you must meet in order to be entered. You must achieve either 3 consecutive valid laps within 103% of the fastest PQ lap time, or 5 laps within 107%. PQ times are recorded automatically, all you need to do is run the laps on our PQ servers, and you can run as many laps as you want - we will automatically find your best stint. The target times will be frozen about a week before the event, so the goalposts don't move at the last minute. Drivers not meeting either of the PQ requirements will not be entered in the event, which means neither will the team.
PRACTICE SERVER - there will be a practice server up on a 90 minute loop for the week prior to the event which uses (more or less) the same weather conditions as the race server, so teams can practice driver swaps, and get a feel for the potential conditions. Password is 'NotSetYet' (no quotes). The server will be regenerated once per day, using the current entry list. If you have only just signed up, you will have to wait till the next restart to be able to join the server.
THERE IS NO ATTACHED QUALI FOR THIS EVENT. Pre-qualifying results will be used to set the grid for the race. Ordering will be done by the average of each team's fastest valid stints. So for each driver on the team, the system finds the fastest average consecutive 3 lap stint, and then averages those for all drivers on the team. Doing this minimizes the qualifying advantage of having one team member who is much faster than the others.
WE WILL BE DOING PRACTICE STARTS. Since the last time we've done Kyalami had a start which was hectic to say the least. We will be running a few practice starts during the practice session of the race. This means that all the drivers that will be doing starts have to join and stay in the driver briefing channel during the starts - such that we're able to have a few practice starts until we're all sure that everybody can behave.
The maximum team size is two drivers, and we are allowing solo teams. If you need help finding a team mate, visit our Discord channel, and ask in the #find-a-team-mate channel.
There is no max stint length meaning that any team can decide how long each of their driver drives. Every driver must at least drive one stint, otherwise you would be DSQ'd by the game.
There may be live stewarding for at least the first hour of the event. We will be monitoring the first few laps very closely, and anyone causing incidents on the first lap may be penalized harshly, up to and including a DSQ. We want to get a clean start to the race. Ha Ha.
If you teleport back to the pits at any time during the race session, your race is over. You may teleport during the practice session.

This event has Pre-Quali (PQ), running from 2022-01-21 07:22 PM Europe/Rome to 2022-02-05 07:00 PM Europe/Rome . PQ is used to sort drivers into multiple splits by laptime. You do not need to take any action to register your times, the process is automated, simply drive laps on one of the listed PQ servers.
