Pre-Quali (PQ) is needed if the number of entries for an event may exceed the number a single server can accommodate, and/or if we have set specific PQ requirements for an event. In these cases, a period of PQ will be run prior to the race, usually for at least a week, and if necessary the race will be divided into equal size splits, based on PQ times. ULTRA MEGA IMPORTANT - we are starting a new system of requiring new drivers to attend a voice briefing immediately prior to their first event in a season. For these drivers, the server password will not be shown on this page - the only way to get the password is to attend the briefing. As this is the first event with a voice briefing, and because we feel that the WEMSA field needs reminding about driving standards, we are requiring ALL drivers to attend for the Watkins Glen event. Moving forward, only new drivers will be required to attend. See the Race Servers panel below for details.
IMPORTANT - this event has non-standard features, like split class quali and a rolling start. Please make sure you have fully read and understood the season briefing. Not knowing the rules could get you banned from further competition.
There is no ACRL specific layout for WGI, we use the default track as available on Race Department, linked in the Content panel below..
All WEMSA races are long enough that both classes will need to make a pit stop. Make sure you know how to perform a pit stop, and practice entering the pits without speeding - we have automated pit speeding detection, which will earn you a 20 sec time penalty if you speed in the pits during the race. If you haven't done a pit stop at Watkins Glen before, it can be tricky as pit entry starts at the apex of the final turn, so you have to be very aware of traffic behind you and make your intention clear by staying to the right on the short straight before the final turn.

This event has Pre-Quali (PQ), running from 2020-08-23 08:00 PM Europe/Rome to 2020-08-30 06:00 PM Europe/Rome . PQ is used to sort drivers into multiple splits by laptime. You do not need to take any action to register your times, the process is automated, simply drive laps on one of the listed PQ servers.
This event has no PQ requirements, meaning that you are not obliged to set a PQ time. However, if you do not set a PQ time, you will simply be added to the bottom of the time sheet along with any others who did not set a time (in order of event registration) and sorted into the lowest split accordingly.
PQ server details are only available to drivers entered for this event.
The race server allocation is based on the currently checked-in entry list, and (if the event has PQ) the current PQ standings. These often change rapidly in the last few hours before the race, so check back here immediately before the race to make sure you have the right details.
