Pre-Quali (PQ) is needed if the number of entries for an event may exceed the number a single server can accommodate, and/or if we have set specific PQ requirements for an event. In these cases, a period of PQ will be run prior to the race, usually for at least a week, and if necessary the race will be divided into equal size splits, based on PQ times. See the Driver Briefing tab for details of the PQ servers. In championship events, there is usually a points bonus for being in a higher (faster) split.
This is an overview of the PQ standings for this event, showing only PQ results by drivers who have registered for this event, with a PQ time set in the car they registered. The full PQ results can be found here. If you do not see yourself in this summary, but do see yourself in the full results, check that you PQ'ed in the same car you registered for this event with, and that the Steam GUID you are using for in-game matches the one you registered for this site with. Also note that lap times may not show up immediately in these results, it could be an hour or more before you see your times appear.

ULTRA MEGA IMPORTANT - we are starting a new system of requiring new drivers to attend a voice briefing immediately prior to their first event in a season. For these drivers, the server password will not be shown on this page - the only way to get the password is to attend the briefing. As this is the first event with a voice briefing, and because we feel that the WEMSA field needs reminding about driving standards, we are requiring ALL drivers to attend for the Watkins Glen event. Moving forward, only new drivers will be required to attend. See the Race Servers panel below for details.
IMPORTANT - this event has non-standard features, like split class quali and a rolling start. Please make sure you have fully read and understood the season briefing. Not knowing the rules could get you banned from further competition.
There is no ACRL specific layout for WGI, we use the default track as available on Race Department, linked in the Content panel below..
All WEMSA races are long enough that both classes will need to make a pit stop. Make sure you know how to perform a pit stop, and practice entering the pits without speeding - we have automated pit speeding detection, which will earn you a 20 sec time penalty if you speed in the pits during the race. If you haven't done a pit stop at Watkins Glen before, it can be tricky as pit entry starts at the apex of the final turn, so you have to be very aware of traffic behind you and make your intention clear by staying to the right on the short straight before the final turn.
If you haven't run a WEMSA event before, you will need to read the season briefing for details on installing the P13c.
|Event Starts||2020-08-30 07:00 PM Europe/Rome|
|Mandatory Pit Stop||No|
Ambient temperature will be between 17C and 23C, scattered clouds, light to moderate breeze.
You are not usually obliged to run PQ, although you should check the PQ tab to see if the event has PQ requirements. If PQ is not required, and you don't set a PQ time, you will simply be added to the bottom of the time sheet along with any others who did not set a time (in order of event registration) and sorted into the lowest split accordingly. If PQ is required, and you either do not set a time or do not meet the requirements, you will not be entered for the event.
PQ server details are only available to drivers entered for this event.
IMPORTANT - this season has mandatory voice briefings, so the server password will not be displayed here. In order to get the password you must attend the pre-race voice briefing in the #driver-briefing voice channel on our Discord server 10 minutes before the start of practice.
The race server allocation is based on the currently checked-in entry list, and (if the event has PQ) the current PQ standings. These often change rapidly in the last few hours before the race, so check back here immediately before the race to make sure you have the right details.

Workshops are events held (usually) the day before a main season event, featuring a short race at the same track, under similar conditions, to give people a chance to practice in a live setting.
This event has a workshop, starting on Saturday August 29th 2020 07:00 PM Europe/Rome
There is no pre-booking for workshops. Entries are on a first come, first served basis.
Workshop server details are only available to drivers entered for this event.
Any incidents shown here are those for which penalties have been assessed. There may have been other reports submitted, not shown here, which were judged as racing incidents or otherwise requiring no further action. There may also be other reports which have not yet been processed by the stewards.
