Let Pisani pass because i did a mistake in chapel, and he was faster, but did not expect someone so eager to overtake in lap 3 of a 60 minutes race and so bad at calculating distances and spaces that ended with me punted, tyres flatted and way to upset to cotinue the race. See the Pisani video.

Still getting used to stuff, but am just blown away by the immersion and feel of stuff when things start to click.

Weirdly VR works really well for me in 1080ti, i7 7700k, 16 gig ram. I just set it to epic VR and reduce things like foilage. Prevous to these settings coming from Kunos my backdrop going down the straight out of maggots-becketts would just be a flickering blurry mess that would move frantically as I moved my head. This is now mostly gone except perhaps for some shadows on barriers and fences.

Qualied 10th-ish and stayed around there all race. Couldn't get past Cowmaster without feeling like I had to risk a lot but got to work my Safety Rating way up. Tried brake pads at 3 and I don't know but on full braking I'd suddenly almost bump cowmaster a ton of times, that might have been brake fade, no idea rally. Sylvain and Pierre ended up behind me for various reasons and were clearly faster so I didn't put up too much a fight except once vs Sylvain going side by side for a few turns.

Eventually drifted into no mans land as people ahead got away and people behind were slightly slower.

There is something about ACC that makes me feel the tires better, as if it is a wider window of operation than AC. I'm really just enjoying the immersion and satisfaction of a good lap and continuous progress figuring things out.
