IMPORTANT NOTE - this event has Pre-Qualification requirements you must meet in order to take part. Please read the Minimum Requirements section below.
Pre-Quali (PQ) is needed if the number of entries for an event may exceed the number a single server can accommodate, and/or if we have set specific PQ requirements for an event. In these cases, a period of PQ will be run prior to the race, usually for at least a week, and if necessary the race will be divided into equal size splits, based on PQ times. See the Driver Briefing tab for details of the PQ servers. In championship events, there is usually a points bonus for being in a higher (faster) split.
This is an overview of the PQ standings for this event, showing only PQ results by drivers who have registered for this event, with a PQ time set in the car they registered. The full PQ results can be found here. If you do not see yourself in this summary, but do see yourself in the full results, check that you PQ'ed in the same car you registered for this event with, and that the Steam GUID you are using for in-game matches the one you registered for this site with. Also note that lap times may not show up immediately in these results, it could be an hour or more before you see your times appear.

PQ ordering for this event is Fastest Team Stint Average, which takes the fastest average valid stint time for each driver in the team, and averages those times. |
Minimum Requirements |
---|
This event has minimum PQ requirements in order to be entered for the event. If a driver does not meet these requirements, they will not be entered for the event. For team (driver swap) events, a team will only be considered to have met the requirements if the minimum number of drivers required for the event have qualified. The minimum driver requirement for this event is 1. Only those drivers who meet the requirements will be able to participate in the event. GTE The requirement for this event is a consecutive hot stint of 3 valid laps. The time required is 107% of the fastest PQ time. The fastest PQ time for the GTE class is currently 02:16.947, meaning that the required minimum lap time is currently 02:26.533. LMP1 The requirement for this event is a consecutive hot stint of 3 valid laps. The time required is 107% of the fastest PQ time. The fastest PQ time for the LMP1 class is currently 01:56.117, meaning that the required minimum lap time is currently 02:04.245. These times may change, so you should check back frequently to ensure that you do not need to improve your time. For drivers who have not met the hot stint requirements, the number in parentheses after the lap time is the longest valid hot stint for that driver, in which each lap met the required time. For drivers who have met the requirement, it is how "safe" they are - that is, the gap between the slowest lap in their best stint, and the current cutoff time. |

Driver Briefing
There is mandatory driver briefing in the #driver-briefing voice channel in our Discord, starting 10 minutes before the practice server goes up (so 5:50pm Rome). Please make sure ahead of time that you have joined our Discord and given yourself permission to the VC channels by running the !driver command, as explained when you join.
Practice Starts
On race day, we will be doing a couple of practice starts, just to get everyone used to getting a clean start with a large, multi class grid. So once the briefing is over in the Driver Briefing voice channel, we will ask everyone to stay in that channel. We will start a server, and everyone who is starting the race for their team will have about 2 minutes to join the server, get their setup on and join the grid. We'll let cars get to about Turn 3 (the right hander near the start of the windy bit, at the top of the twisty downhill section). If everyone got a clean start, we'll skip the second one, but if there was any cluster f*cks, we'll reset, and do another start. We won't do more than two, regardless.
Once the test start(s) are over, we'll kill the test server, start the real server, and announce it in the driver briefing VC and in the #2.4h-of-Spa channel. Everyone can leave the driver briefing VC and either join the communal Split 1 VC, or their own team VC. Starting drivers will then have 5 minutes to join, setup, and join the grid.
Server Start
IMPORTANT - when you join the server at the start of the race (or for the test starts), there is no practice session, and gridding has already started. The count-down you see is to lights out, not to start of gridding. Plan accordingly!
Be aware - The starting grid is on the main straight, before the hairpin. So the first corner is the hairpin.
Live Timing
Live Timing will be available during the event here. It will show the position of every car on track, yellow flag location, incidents, driver swap message, etc. If you have a team mate, it gives you useful spotter information you can relay to your teammate.
Driver Swaps
Every team must do at least one driver swap, even if you are driving solo.
When joining the server you won't see the usual reserved slot for your name. Don't worry, just hit Join, you will be put in the correct car.
To perform a driver swap:
- Player 1 drives into the pits
- Player 1 enters their pit box and stops, enabling the pit procedure.
- Player 1 leaves the server
- Player 1 informs Player 2 that they have left the server
- Player 2 joins the server
- Player 2 sees server messages, loads setup, hops into the car
- Player 2 waits for the messages to say they are ready to leave their pitbox
- Player 2 leaves their pitbox and continues the race
If you are a solo driver, just consider yourself to be both Player 1 and Player 2 above. Leave the server, rejoin.
Here is a video showing the procedure.
REMEMBER - when you rejoin the server, YOU MUST LOAD YOUR SETUP. You basically have a new car, with all damage reset, and no setup on it.
WARNING - during testing, a couple of people reported that they never saw any server messages during their driver swap. We suggest that you set your own timer just before joining during a driver swap ("OK Google, start a timer for 90 seconds"), so if this happens, you can avoid getting a penalty for leaving the pits too soon.

This event has Pre-Quali (PQ), running from 2023-11-21 02:34 AM Europe/Rome to 2023-12-17 06:00 PM Europe/Rome . PQ is used to sort drivers into multiple splits by laptime. You do not need to take any action to register your times, the process is automated, simply drive laps on one of the listed PQ servers.
This event has a PQ requirement. This means that you must meet the requirement(s) specified in the Pre-Quali tab on this page in order to participate in the event. If you either do not set a time or do not meet the requirements, you will not be entered for the event.
PQ server details are only available to drivers entered for this event.
The race server allocation is based on the currently checked-in entry list, and (if the event has PQ) the current PQ standings. These often change rapidly in the last few hours before the race, so check back here immediately before the race to make sure you have the right details.

Workshops are events held (usually) the day before a main season event, featuring a short race at the same track, under similar conditions, to give people a chance to practice in a live setting.
There is no Workshop scheduled for this event.
