Having enjoyed the Big Grid Community event at Spa last month, we decided to host a rematch. This time it's ACRL, the MrGit community and Apex Online Racing getting together for a community invitational at the Nurburgring.
If you are an ACRL member, just sign up for the event as usual. If you are a guest from one of the other communities, you don't have to register as a full ACRL member (although of course you can if you want), you can use the Steam Login method to register just for this event. The Steam login just gives us your Steam ID and whatever name is associated with that, which we use as your entry.
If you haven't raced with us before, please read the Pre-Quali and Driver Briefing tabs, to get an overview of how we run events.
We look forward to racing with you!

Pre-Quali (PQ) is needed if the number of entries for an event may exceed the number a single server can accommodate. In these cases, a period of PQ will be run prior to the race, usually for at least a week, and if necessary the race will be divided into equal size splits, based on PQ times. See the Driver Briefing tab for details of the PQ servers. In championship events, there is usually a points bonus for being in a higher (faster) split.
This is an overview of the PQ standings for this event, showing only PQ results by drivers who have registered for this event, with a PQ time set in the car they registered. The full PQ results can be found here. If you do not see yourself in this summary, but do see yourself in the full results, check that you PQ'ed in the same car you registered for this event with, and that the Steam GUID you are using for ACC matches the one you registered for this site with.
Also note that lap times may not show up immediately in these results, depending on the sim. Wheras AC (with stracker) writes out lap times in real time, ACC only writes out lap times at the end of each session, and our server checks every 15 minutes for new result files to process, so it could be an hour or more before you see your times appear.

You are not obliged to run PQ. If you don't, you will simply be added to the bottom of the time sheet along with any others who did not set a time (in order of event registration) and sorted into the lowest split accordingly. However, running PQ is a good way to measure yourself against your competitors, (re)learn the track, and work on a setup for the race.
PQ server details are only available to drivers entered for this event.
This event does not require pre-booking. There is a single race server, with slots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The information in this panel is automatically generated from our database. There may be additional or more specific download instructions in the Briefing section
There is no download link for the Nurburgring 2019 track, which means it is probably default / DLC content
Workshops are events held (usually) the day before a main season event, featuring a short race at the same track, under similar conditions, to give people a chance to practice in a live setting.
There is no Workshop scheduled for this event.
A big welcome to our guests for the first ACRL Invitational! We're happy to be hosting this event, and hope it will be the first of many.
Please take a moment to read the Pre-Quali tab on this page, and the Pre-Quali notes above. We have set a limit of 40 cars per split for this event, so if we get more entries than that, the event will run on multiple servers, split evenly, sorted by PQ times. The PQ server(s) run 24*7 between the dates given above, and you can run as many laps as you want. PQ is not mandatory, if you choose not to run it and the event is split, you will simply be sorted into the slower split.
While not compulsory, we suggest that for this race you include your community name before your surname in your ACC driver settings, so that your name shows in timing & scoring as "H. ACRL Messenger" (well, mine would, anyway). And to add to the whole Community Team atmosphere, your community might like to adopt a standard livery scheme.
Please also take a moment to read this summary of our Rules of Engagement:
- When defending, you may only make one defensive change of line.
- When returning to the racing line after defending you must leave a cars width between you and the edge of the track.
- Strictly no defensive changes of line in (or just before) braking zones.
- When making a defensive move, the defending car may use the full width of the track unless the attacking car has "significant overlap", which we define as being half way alongside. Simply having a nose alongside does not give the attacking car "ownership" of the corner.
- No dive-bombing / vamos. If you don't have overlap in the braking zone, don't dive.
Logged in members can upload and vote for clips. If a clip is entered for an award, votes count towards the end of season awards.
