Having enjoyed the Big Grid Community event at Spa last month, we decided to host a rematch. This time it's ACRL, the MrGit community and Apex Online Racing getting together for a community invitational at the Nurburgring.
If you are an ACRL member, just sign up for the event as usual. If you are a guest from one of the other communities, you don't have to register as a full ACRL member (although of course you can if you want), you can use the Steam Login method to register just for this event. The Steam login just gives us your Steam ID and whatever name is associated with that, which we use as your entry.
If you haven't raced with us before, please read the Pre-Quali and Driver Briefing tabs, to get an overview of how we run events.
We look forward to racing with you!
Names in (parentheses) have not yet been approved by the team owner
Names in bold are the entry/team owner
Names in italics are non-ACRL and/or guest drivers
Pre-Quali (PQ) is needed if the number of entries for an event may exceed the number a single server can accommodate, and/or if we have set specific PQ requirements for an event. In these cases, a period of PQ will be run prior to the race, usually for at least a week, and if necessary the race will be divided into equal size splits, based on PQ times. See the Driver Briefing tab for details of the PQ servers. In championship events, there is usually a points bonus for being in a higher (faster) split.
This is an overview of the PQ standings for this event, showing only PQ results by drivers who have registered for this event, with a PQ time set in the car they registered. The full PQ results can be found here. If you do not see yourself in this summary, but do see yourself in the full results, check that you PQ'ed in the same car you registered for this event with, and that the Steam GUID you are using for in-game matches the one you registered for this site with. Also note that lap times may not show up immediately in these results, it could be an hour or more before you see your times appear.

A big welcome to our guests for the first ACRL Invitational! We're happy to be hosting this event, and hope it will be the first of many.
Please take a moment to read the Pre-Quali tab on this page, and the Pre-Quali notes above. We have set a limit of 40 cars per split for this event, so if we get more entries than that, the event will run on multiple servers, split evenly, sorted by PQ times. The PQ server(s) run 24*7 between the dates given above, and you can run as many laps as you want. PQ is not mandatory, if you choose not to run it and the event is split, you will simply be sorted into the slower split.
While not compulsory, we suggest that for this race you include your community name before your surname in your ACC driver settings, so that your name shows in timing & scoring as "H. ACRL Messenger" (well, mine would, anyway). And to add to the whole Community Team atmosphere, your community might like to adopt a standard livery scheme.
Please also take a moment to read this summary of our Rules of Engagement:
- When defending, you may only make one defensive change of line.
- When returning to the racing line after defending you must leave a cars width between you and the edge of the track.
- Strictly no defensive changes of line in (or just before) braking zones.
- When making a defensive move, the defending car may use the full width of the track unless the attacking car has "significant overlap", which we define as being half way alongside. Simply having a nose alongside does not give the attacking car "ownership" of the corner.
- No dive-bombing / vamos. If you don't have overlap in the braking zone, don't dive.

This event has Pre-Quali (PQ), running from 2020-03-02 10:00 AM Europe/Rome to 2020-03-14 05:00 PM Europe/Rome . PQ is used to sort drivers into multiple splits by laptime. You do not need to take any action to register your times, the process is automated, simply drive laps on one of the listed PQ servers.
This event has no PQ requirements, meaning that you are not obliged to set a PQ time. However, if you do not set a PQ time, you will simply be added to the bottom of the time sheet along with any others who did not set a time (in order of event registration) and sorted into the lowest split accordingly.
PQ server details are only available to drivers entered for this event.
IMPORTANT - this season has mandatory voice briefings for some or all drivers, so the server password will not be displayed here. In order to get the password you must attend the pre-race voice briefing in the #driver-briefing voice channel on our Discord server 10 minutes before the start of practice.
The race server allocation is based on the currently checked-in entry list, and (if the event has PQ) the current PQ standings. These often change rapidly in the last few hours before the race, so check back here immediately before the race to make sure you have the right details.

Workshops are events held (usually) the day before a main season event, featuring a short race at the same track, under similar conditions, to give people a chance to practice in a live setting.
There is no Workshop scheduled for this event.
