The stewards yet again are split on the decision of this incident. There is a clear consensus that car 712 does cause an avoidable incident. Car 295 brakes cautiously into the corner at 125 to prevent bumping anyone ahead, and gets rear ended by an overzealous bentley. There was opportunity to avoid contact, but either a lack of experience or care results in a incident that punts car 295 off track - making them lose 3-4 positions as a result.

The head steward has decided to split all the penalty assesments down the middle and therefore a 20 second penalty to car 712 is assigned.
