Lonely race for most of it.
Lost two places at the start, gained a few in the Villeneuve chicane incident by the skin of my teeth.
Had a big moment about 15 laps in but kept it out of the wall somehow, and then just picked off back markers whilst managing the gap behind. Couldn't match the pace of the first two though.

Zolder is great. Even if the one and only time I was there I was stretchered away in an ambulance with a fractured spine!

First league race in a long time couldn't have gone worse. Partially because someone crashed into me and partially because of my own lack of experience with the game.

• Qualifying wasn't great. Couldn't hook up a lap and easily left 2 tenths on the table, which was worth 6-7 positions.
  
• Start of the race was okay. I was prioritizing driving cleanly, so I was frequently backing off in the tight sections and not going for crazy overtakes (unfortunately kinda required at Zolder) and it was causing me to lose time to the drivers ahead even though I clearly had more pace.
  
• On lap 5 I got out of shape coming out of the chicane, and the driver behind me lost control at the same time. He T-boned me off the track and spun me around. I had to wait for everyone to go by before I could rejoin. I lost 30 seconds.
  
• Over the next 11 laps I lost another 20-30 seconds because of damage to my car causing horrible understeer. My delta was consistently +1.8 to a lap time that wasn't particularly good to begin with.
  
• Because of the damage, I decided to pit as early as I could so that I would leave the pits with 100L and go to the end from there. Big mistake, as apparently I have to pit only within a specific window, so I eventually got a 130-second penalty for that (not that it mattered since I finished dead last anyway).
  
• I pit on lap 16. Car repairs added an extra 25 seconds to my pit time. And I lost probably about 10 seconds to having to press the ignition button twice, for whatever fucking reason, to both turn on and turn off the engine.
  
• Before the race I had set my Push-to-Talk button to my Pit Limiter button. I forgot and said something to my teammate while leaving the pits and briefly sped in the pit lane. 30-second stop-and-go penalty, which was more like a 40-second one because of more engine ignition shenanigans.
  
• At that point I was 2 laps down and ended up doing a weird blue flag dance with people who were a lap ahead of me but slower than me.
  
• Since the race had been so shitty, my driving was kinda ragged. Tires started going off in the middle of my 2nd stint, and I managed to calm down and coax them back into the green. At that stage I was keeping up with 8th place.
  

So yeah, shitty race. Based on my pace, I'm pretty confident a top 10 finish would have been realistic if I hadn't gotten crashed into and had a better handle over the pitting mechanics (and hadn't accidentally sped in the pit lane).

Well this was kind of fun. I missed Q, only did 1 shit lap at the end. Started 25th, but the whole left lane like 2 cars infront of me, was 3 cars behind. So lost more places before it even started. https://streamable.com/siv69s

Then I was trying to catch back up, did 1 mistake, and went to pits. I wanted to also repair damage so 40s. But I stopped too far. Nothing was happening, until I realized like 10s went past. They should add some indicator of why the pit is not working.

Got back out. 8s hehind Brunner and Kuzin. Managed to catch them after some laps. Start of my second stint was terrible. So many mistakes. But once I was like 5s it went down. I was hard to overtake. Brunner and Kuzin were fighting. But as Sheppard went by, I used it and overtook Brunner in second to last lap. https://streamable.com/3x7k9y
